ImageWhether Global Warming has anything to do with it, rain interrupted play at this year’s Kids Games, as it did at Wimbledon!  However, our trainees still learnt vital lessons in our Superhero Training School about how to be Champions in life!

The brilliant Ryde Kids Games 2007 program kicked off with Experiential Games to help kids discover truth in fun ways.  This welcoming introduction is followed by the presentation segment featuring singing, quizzes, skits and video interaction!
This year’s interactions were hosted by “The Phoenix”, an eccentric superhero trainer, and “Gizmo”, his nerdy scientific assistant!  The video segments featured starring and cameo roles by our own members - about an evil scheme to silence the world by a maniacal Librarian!
Issues raised by the presentations were explored in our Small Groups, where Bible passages were studied and lessons reinforced by hands-on activities.  Morning Tea provided a welcome break between programs, before Elective Sessions completed the day with either the Sports (5-a-side Soccer) option or Creative program of painting, costumes (featuring masks and capes) and a new banner!
Many of the kids returned from last year and some brought friends as the week progressed.  The Closing Celebration at Kent Road Public School was a great time hosted by the teams from Ryde City Church and Ryde Baptist Church.
