Our Christmas Day Service
at 9:00am on Friday, 25th December @ our Church was another time of
community celebration, mixing traditional and contemporary items to
bring meaning to the festive mayhem! A simple, shorter service full of
value!
Our New Advent Coffee and Dessert event started at 7:00pm on Saturday, 5th December @ our Hall with readings and reflections, carols and candles to remember the reason for the season. A full house enjoyed our opportunity to learn from history and the Bible with an Aussie flavour and a global perspective. The children particularly enjoyed participating in the candle lighting part of the proceedings!
Our Club maX End-of-Year BBQ on Thursday, 17th December @ our Hall was a special "Oasis Banquet" this year! Our children exceeded all expectations in a time of presentations with festive service and decorations in "The Shed"! From 5:30pm family and friends enjoyed a great event with cold meats replacing the bbq in the hot Total Fire Ban conditions.
Our Traditional Service of Readings and Carols at 9:00am on Sunday, 20th December @ our Church once more added perspective to this season that can so easily become silly without meaning. We have a place in history and Christmas can show us where we fit in!
Our Carols BBQ
at 5:00pm on Sunday, 20th December @ our Hall, was bigger and better than last year as this informal, family friendly event grows with us! We had more family fun, more contemporary sounds and more barbecued blessings! Another free meal with a donation box at the door! Here are some highlights from this year ...
